Job summary

Snowy Hydro is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to join the Platform Engineering and Data Ops team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will design, build, and test core data pipelines across the Enterprise Data Platform, focusing on Medallion architecture using Snowflake.

You will develop native integrations for SAP and ServiceNow, embed quality controls, CI/CD practices, and AI-assisted coding techniques to accelerate data modelling and documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Snowflake environments and data transformations.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for data modeling and pipelines.
• Experience deploying data models through automated CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and data ingestion.
• Build and test enterprise-grade data models with Snowflake-native capabilities.
• Implement data quality, governance, masking, and observability in pipelines.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development and documentation.
