Job summary

Arkeus is seeking a Data Engineer to own ETL pipelines turning raw imagery and video from optical sensing platforms into clean, structured data for the ML team. You will design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines, perform exploratory data analysis, and ensure data is labelled, balanced, and ready for training.

You should have a tertiary degree in CS/engineering/data science and at least 3 years in data engineering or related fields, with strong SQL and Python experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in CS/Engineering/Data Science or related field.
• 3+ years of data engineering, data analysis, or related field; imagery/video data preferred.
• Experience with unstructured or semi-structured data (images, video, sensor data) is a must.
• Experience building ETL pipelines, ideally with image/video data.
• Strong SQL skills with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines for large volumes of imagery and video data.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to assess dataset quality and coverage.
• Clean, structure, and organize datasets for ML team use.
• Build fast prototype visualisations to surface data issues.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to ensure training-ready data; maintain data quality docs.
