Job summary

Bega Valley Shire Council is seeking a Data Engineer and Analytics Officer to develop, maintain and support the council's analytics, integration, automation and AI solutions. You will ensure data is accessible via dashboards, reports and visualisation tools, collaborating to deliver data-driven insights.

The permanent, full-time role (35 hours/week) supports our Digital Transformation and requires strong SQL, Power BI and reporting experience within a municipal environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering corporate analytics, integration, automation and AI solutions.
• Strong data research, analysis and reporting skills with attention to detail.
• Experience integrating SaaS with on-premise systems using middleware.
• Proficiency with MS SQL, Power BI, SAP Crystal Reports and MS Power Platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support BVSC’s corporate analytics, integration, automation and AI solutions.
• Ensure data is accessible via reports, dashboards and visualisation tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights and reporting solutions.
• Design secure and efficient data integrations between corporate systems.
