Job summary

Flight Centre Travel Group is seeking a Data Analyst and Engineer in South Bank, QLD to build data pipelines, deliver insights, and empower data-driven decisions. You will ensure data quality, governance, and scalable infrastructure while partnering with loyalty, brand, and technology teams.

The role focuses on loyalty program analytics, reporting, and data modelling to support performance optimisation and customer initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years delivering analytics solutions, ideally in retail or customer-facing environments.
Experience measuring and analysing loyalty program performance.
Hands-on experience with Azure cloud ETL tools and Azure DevOps.
Strong proficiency in SQL, descriptive analytics, reporting, and Power BI.
Experience designing and maintaining modern data infrastructure and ETL solutions.
Demonstrated ability to turn data into actionable business insights and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot data-related issues and implement solutions to maintain smooth operations.
Ensure data accuracy, quality, consistency, and governance.
Champion data-driven thinking across loyalty, brand, and business teams.
Create and implement data models to support analytics needs.
Optimise data infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with technology teams to support automation initiatives.
Integrate data from internal and external systems for a unified view.
Analyse and report on loyalty KPIs like member lifetime value and earn/redeem rates.
Develop reporting assets and frameworks for insights across loyalty programs.
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines into data lakes and lakehouse environments.
