Job summary

BizCover in Sydney is seeking two Data Engineers to join our data team. You will own end-to-end data pipelines, shape models, and ensure data quality to support scaling our SME insurance platform.

You'll work with Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt Cloud and MSSQL, build observable pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt Cloud, and MSSQL.
• Ability to model data using best practices.
• Proficient in writing tests and improving reliability.
• Strong documentation and technical communication.

The purpose of this role is to contribute to changing how BizCover operates using data to drive decisions and exceed our strategic growth objectives. We're currently looking for two Data Engineers to join our team, with both roles based in Sydney.

Requirements

• Ideally would have 4-6 years of experience
• Technical experience with Snowflake,Fivetran,dbtCloud, MSSQL
• Ability to model data using best practices
• Proficiencyin writing tests, implementing observability, and improving reliability
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., SQL/dbtcopilots, LLMs for documentation, testing, or refactoring) to improve productivity and code quality.
• Interest in learning and adopting emerging AI capabilities within the modern data stack.
