Job summary

Clicks IT Recruitment is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for a major transformation program in New South Wales, Australia. This hands-on contract role focuses on building and optimising enterprise-scale data pipelines to support large-scale migration and transformation activities.

You will work closely with project stakeholders to deliver accurate data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading into target systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and supporting enterprise-scale ETL/ELT solutions.
• Strong SQL development and data modelling skills.
• Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery.
• Experience with Git and modern data engineering practices.
• Exposure to data pipeline orchestration tools such as DBT.
• Strong data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience working on data migration, transformation, or integration projects.
• A solid understanding of data governance, security, and privacy principles.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment and manage competing priorities.
