Davidson is seeking an experienced Data Engineer in Brisbane to lead data migration and transformation within a Microsoft Fabric environment. You will move legacy data into OneLake, rebuild ETL logic as modular dbt models, and implement automated data quality testing.
You will own migrations across Fabric, build robust pipelines, and establish CI/CD practices with Git. Prior government data projects are highly desirable; hybrid work is available with initial onsite onboarding.
Join a significant data modernisation initiative focused on migrating legacy data assets onto Microsoft Fabric and establishing a modern, governed and maintainable data platform. This is a hands‑on engineering role where you will move data into OneLake, reverse engineer complex legacy SQL and ETL, rebuild transformation logic in dbt and establish the automation, testing and documentation needed for the platform to operate successfully beyond go‑live.
You will take ownership of core migration and transformation activities, working across legacy platforms and the new Microsoft Fabric environment.
You will be an experienced Data Engineer who combines strong SQL and migration capability with genuine hands‑on experience across Microsoft Fabric and dbt.
*The first 2-3 weeks will likely have to be full-time onsite for onboarding
