Job summary

Lowood State High School is seeking an enthusiastic Coach to lead targeted literacy intervention and support improved student outcomes across the school. The role focuses on Tier 2/3 students, delivering evidence-based programs and personalised learning plans, and analysing diagnostic data to tailor interventions.

The successful candidate will build staff capacity in literacy instruction, coach teachers, and contribute to the school's strategic plan.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current teaching registration (full or provisional) with eligibility for full registration.
• Blue Card exemption required for Education and Care Services.
• Demonstrated expertise in inclusive literacy instruction and data-informed teaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead targeted literacy interventions for Tier 2/3 students.
• Administer, analyse and respond to diagnostic literacy assessments.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions to accelerate learning.
• Build staff capability in literacy instruction across the school.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and professional learning for teachers.
• Contribute to the implementation of the school's four-year strategic plan.
