FinXL IT Professional Services seeks a Senior Datacentre Lead to spearhead administration, integration, and sustainment of complex enterprise datacentre environments in Canberra. This hands-on leadership role guides technical teams, provides infrastructure advice, and ensures operation of critical systems within highly secure environments.

Key duties include leading installation and maintenance of datacentre infra, virtualization, and storage, mentoring staff, and implementing security controls

Qualificações

• Demonstrated experience leading the administration and sustainment of complex enterprise datacentre environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Proven experience with enterprise virtualization (VMware vSphere) and shared storage.
• Strong understanding of networking, routing, switching, segmentation and security zones.
• Experience implementing ISM and Essential Eight security controls.
• Experience integrating enterprise apps in highly secured environments without direct internet access.
• Ability to act as a senior technical lead and liaise with stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of datacentre infrastructure, virtualization, and storage.
• Manage and mentor technical personnel, prioritizing tasks and on-the-job coaching.
• Install, integrate, and administer Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Contribute to design and implementation of network segmentation and security controls.
• Provide Level 2/3 technical support and fault resolution for integrated systems.
• Develop system designs, implementation docs, and SOPs.
• Advise senior management on system readiness, risks, and security requirements.

FinXL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Datacentre Lead to spearhead the administration, integration, and sustainment of complex enterprise datacentre environments.

In this hands‑on leadership role, you will guide technical teams, provide expert infrastructure advice, and ensure the seamless operation of critical systems within highly secure environments.

Key Duties

• Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of complex datacentre infrastructure, virtualised platforms, and enterprise storage.
• Manage and direct technical personnel, including task allocation, work prioritisation, and on‑the‑job mentoring.
• Install, integrate, and administer Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and associated enterprise applications.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of physical and software‑defined networking, including network segmentation and security controls.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support, including fault investigation and issue resolution for integrated systems.
• Develop and maintain system designs, implementation documentation, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Provide authoritative technical advice to senior management regarding system readiness, integration risks, and security requirements.

Mandatory Requirements

• Demonstrated experience leading the administration and sustainment of complex enterprise datacentre environments.
• Extensive hands‑on experience configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Proven experience with enterprise virtualisation infrastructure (VMware vSphere or equivalent) and shared storage platforms.
• Strong understanding of networking principles, including routing, switching, network segmentation, and security zones.
• Proven ability to implement and maintain security controls aligned with the Information Security Manual (ISM) and Essential Eight mitigation strategies.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications within highly secured environments lacking direct internet connectivity.
• Strong ability to operate as a senior technical lead, engaging effectively with stakeholders and project staff without direct technical oversight.
• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Experience administering SIEM/log‑management platforms such as Splunk.
• Knowledge of OpenShift, OpenStack, container orchestration, or cloud‑native infrastructure technologies.
• Experience integrating cross‑domain solutions into secured, classified, or Five Eyes network environments.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) as applied to infrastructure engineering.
