Job summary

RSGx is expanding its electrical engineering team in Australia and seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to deliver electrical designs for grid connections, distribution and substations on data centre projects across the east coast.

You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure designs meet Australian standards and project requirements, contributing to high-availability infrastructure across major facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical design for data centres or critical infrastructure.
• Proven ability to develop and interpret single-line diagrams and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of Australian standards and electrical industry requirements.
• Understanding DNSP/NSP connection processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for grid connections, networks and substations.
• Design and document LV/MV/HV distribution, transformers, switchgear and protection systems.
• Develop substation layouts, single-line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules and equipment specifications.
• Review and refine design documentation, calculations and construction/shop drawings.
• Support design reviews, constructability assessments and problem-solving.
