Job summary

CDC Data Centres seeks a Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities across data centre projects, ensuring governance adherence and timely handover to operations. You will liaise with customers, general contractors, independent commissioning agents and consultants.

The role requires strong technical leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as a commissioning manager.
• Demonstrable successful record on ‘similar’ scale projects.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to quickly recognise issues or foresee risk.
• Knowledge of ACONEX, PROCORE and BIM model.
• Australian citizen with the ability to obtain, an NV1 Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Work within and champion the CDC governance framework, supporting commissioning activities across data centre projects.
• Work with the Development team to develop and implement project-specific commissioning plans and programs
• Provide commissioning expertise and oversight on defined projects from design review to handover and operational readiness.
• Contribute to the development, maintenance and improve commissioning standards, documentation and processes.
• Collaboration with CDC stakeholders for areas of improvement in the deliverables of the commissioning processes.
• Maintaining awareness of industry standards regarding commissioning strategies for potential incorporation into CDC practices.
• Engage stakeholders to ensure the plan meets needs and communicates requirements.
• Ensuring CDC’s commissioning testing standards are maintained throughout the process.
• Arranging vendor training for CDC personnel to operate CDC facilities.
• Collaborating with the Construction Manager, CDC’s Facilities and Operations teams and other relevant parties regarding the handover and acceptance of completed projects.

About the role:

We are looking for a Commissioning Manager to effectively manage the commissioning process and collaborate with stakeholders to implement and manage our ongoing commissioning programs. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting commissioning activities and ensuring each project adheres to our governance framework. This role will liaise with multi-disciplinary construction/commissioning teams including but not limited to customers, general contractors, independent commissioning agents and consultants.

Other responsibilities include:

• Provide commissioning expertise and oversight on defined projects from design review and factory acceptance to project completion , handover, and operational readiness.
• Contribute to the development, maintenance and improve commissioning standards, documentation and processes.
• Collaboration with CDC stakeholders for areas of improvement in the deliverables of the commissioning processes.
• Maintaining awareness of industry standards regarding commissioning strategies for potential incorporation into CDC practices .
• Engaging with Stakeholders to ensure the commissioning plan meets their needs and they are aware of any requirements the plan places on them
• Ensuring CDC’s commissioning testing standards are maintained throughout the commissioning process. Arranging vendor training for CDC personnel required to operate CDC facilities.
• Collaborating with the Construction Manager, CDC’s Facilities and Operations teams and other relevant parties regarding the Handover and Acceptance of completed projects.

About You:
