Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer to operate, maintain, and repair essential power, HVAC, plumbing, and site services at a data center in Perth (PE3, Shenton Park). The role includes on-call duties within a collaborative, cross-disciplinary team and exposure to commissioning and project work.

Qualifications

• Practical experience with critical facilities operations and plant equipment.
• HVAC and electrical controls knowledge required.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical/electrical systems.
• Strong problem-solving and under-pressure performance.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance protocols and site checks on schedule.
• Oversee vendors for major mechanical/electrical works.
• Coordinate commissioning and project activities at site.
• Maintain spare parts and critical spares register on site.
• Respond to BMS alarms and escalate as needed.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers and document processes.
