Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Sydney seeks a seasoned Construction Director to lead the delivery of large-scale data center campuses. You will manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to handover, shaping architectural, civil, CSA, and MEP disciplines with autonomy and strategic direction.

You will influence senior leaders, optimize schedules and costs, and drive innovative construction standards across global projects.

Qualifications

10+ years of construction or project management experience.
Experience in data center delivery or major facility builds.
Knowledge of Australian building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, on-time data centers for customers.
Lead construction programs and oversee project scope, schedule, and budget.
Drive costs down and shorten schedules while maintaining quality.
Provide construction management for initiatives increasing data center resiliency.
Review constructability of electrical and mechanical systems for new or optimized data centers.
Create project scope, equipment requirements, and assist with RFPs and CAPEX requests.
Ensure total project quality including commissioning and system testing oversight.
Manage RFIs and coordinate construction administration with engineers.
Record and report key metrics to team members and management.
