Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is advancing into a data-driven, AI-enabled organisation. The Data Business Analyst will help ensure trusted, governed data across the enterprise, translating business concepts into data models and embedding governance practices for reliable decision-making and AI-driven innovation.

You will work with Senior Data Architect and stakeholders to maintain data quality, catalogue data definitions and metadata, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations while improving data

Qualifications

• Must have solid understanding of enterprise data concepts and data modelling (conceptual & logical).
• Experience implementing data governance concepts: ownership, glossaries, data quality rules, lineage and metadata management.
• Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to extract data value.

This is an initial 12- month fixed term opportunity.

Your opportunity

Working across a complex matrix of business and IT stakeholders, the Data Business Analyst plays a pivotal role inmaintainingthe understanding,qualityand integrity of Anglicare’s data as webuildstrategic platformsto better serve our clients.

Partnering closely with the Senior Data Architect and business stakeholders, you will help translate business concepts intoenterprisedata models,establishand embed data governance practices, and ensure data is accessible,consistentand reliable to drive both operational and strategic decisionmakingand enable innovation through AI.

With integrity and resilience, you will:

• Work with our business stakeholders to understandanddocumentkey data concepts

• Work with a data modeller todesign andmaintainconceptual and logical data models

• Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of data governanceconcepts andstandards, includingdata ownership,business glossaries, data quality rules, validationchecksand documentation

• Maintain Anglicare’s data catalogue by documenting data definitions,lineageand metadata to improve transparency and shared understanding

• Monitor data quality metrics,identifyinconsistencies oranomaliesand collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues

• Work closely with business and technology teams to understand requirements, ensure compliance with dataand securitypoliciesand optimise data processes and workflows

Whatyou’llbring

• Strongexpertisein enterprise data concepts and data modelling (conceptual and logical)

• Solid understanding of data governance principles including data ownership, stewardship, data quality, lineage, metadatamanagementand data security

• Experience using data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview or BigID

• Understanding of business process modelling and how data supportsend-to-endprocesses

• Proven ability to work with stakeholders at all levels to extract and articulate data value

• Knowledge of Australian data privacy regulations

• Strong communication,influencingand mentoring skills

Additionalskills (desirable)

• Experience working with Databricks and/or Snowflake or other SQL based databases.

• Knowledge of non-for-profit and/or aged care industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field

• 3–5 years’ proven experience in data governance and data analysis

• Experience working acrossbusiness analysis,securityand data architecture domains
