Qualifications
- 2-4+ years' experience in Data Engineering, Data Automation or related field.
- Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python for data automation tasks.
- Experience with GitHub, source control and CI/CD practices.
- Exposure to Azure or cloud-based data platforms is valued.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data automation solutions.
- Build and optimise data workflows using SQL and Python.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and support production data solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, documented and governance-aligned.
- Work with source control and CI/CD to support deployment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Smartgroup's data capabilities.
