Job summary

Campbelltown City Council NSW seeks a Data Analyst Lead to drive data governance, analytics and reporting for diverse corporate data sources. You will lead data pipelines, governance practices and evidence-based decision making, working closely with business units across the organisation.

This permanent full-time role offers a 35-hour week, hybrid work model, and a competitive salary with 12% super. You’ll join an agile team focused on delivering data-driven insights that support council goals

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Strong technical expertise in data analytics tools and languages, including SQL, Power Query, Python, and/or R.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and implementing data solutions, including data pipelines, transformation, storage, and integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organisational approach to data governance, analytics, and evidence-based decision making.
• Oversee data analyses, data visualisation and reporting to business units.
• Develop and refine data pipelines, integration, and data lakehouse/medallion architecture concepts.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
