Job summary

City of Melbourne is seeking an Analytics Delivery Lead to guide a small team and drive data-driven solutions across the organisation. You will partner with multiple teams to deliver impactful analytics initiatives, enhance capability, and foster continuous improvement in delivery practices.

Located in Melbourne, the role emphasizes collaboration with data engineering, governance and platform teams, and a strong emphasis on learning, experimentation and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Qualifications or equivalent experience in business analytics, data, technology, mathematics or related disciplines.
• Experience delivering analytics or data initiatives in complex organisations.
• Experience applying agile delivery methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex data into insights.

Responsibilities

• Champion agile delivery practices and provide clear reporting and insights to stakeholders.
• Coordinate multiple analytics, reporting and data science initiatives, managing priorities, timelines and dependencies.
• Develop and embed consistent delivery frameworks that support successful data solution implementations.
• Foster a culture of learning, experimentation and continuous improvement across the team.
• Partner with Analytics Leads and stakeholders to prioritise initiatives and maximise value through data-driven outcomes.
• Collaborate with data engineering, governance and platform teams to enable seamless delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Lead and support a small team, creating an inclusive environment that encourages growth and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to team planning, connection forums and capability development across the CIA function.
