About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and driven Data Analyst that is familiar with Python to support critical programs within a complex and high-impact environment.

In this role, you will transform large and complex datasets into meaningful insights that enable informed decision‑making. You’ll play a key role in identifying trends, solving business problems, and improving how data is collected, analysed and used across the organisation.

This is a full‑time opportunity that can be based at our Osborne site in SA or Henderson site in WA.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insights

• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns and risks
• Deliver clear, accurate and timely reporting to support decision‑making
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders
• Develop dashboards and reports (e.g. Power BI) tailored to business needs
• Standardise performance metrics and reporting frameworks
• Present data in a clear and engaging way for varied audiences

Data Solutions & Modelling

• Build and maintain analytical tools, models and simulation frameworks
• Support development of value stream simulation models and scenario analysis
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges and data needs
• Work with IT teams to enhance data systems and access
• Identify opportunities to improve data processes, tools and methodologies

About you

You are a curious and analytical thinker who enjoys solving complex problems and working with data to drive outcomes.

• Experience with SQL, Python or R, and data visualisation tools such as Power BI
• A well‑developed understanding of software development as you will be maintaining software packages
• Previous experience managing small teams is desirable
• Experience in a Data Analyst or similar role
• Strong statistical, mathematical and analytical capability
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
• Ability to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex insights clearly
• High attention to detail and accuracyAbility to prioritise and manage workload independently
• Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Tertiary Quals in STEM (or equivalent) or equivalent industry experience
• Previous experience working in the defence industry is a bonus but not essential
• In the absence of defence industry experience, you will hold ERP system experience
• Previous experience in a large‑scale MRO process driven environment will also be desirable

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
