Job summary

CatholicCare NT in Darwin is seeking an NDIS Coordinator of Supports to help participants understand and implement funded supports, linking them to community and government services.

You will work with families to build skills, promote independence, and ensure meaningful participation. Applicants should have qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Welfare Studies or related fields and at least two years in community services serving Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Welfare Studies or Men's Family Violence with substantial experience in a similar role.
• A minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience working in the community services sector, delivering services to Indigenous and non-indigenous participants.
• Experience within the psychosocial support area is desirable.
• Demonstrated intermediate computer skills, data entry, database experience and sound general administration skills.
• Demonstrated cultural competency, particularly in working with Indigenous people.

Responsibilities

• Support participants to understand and implement funded supports in their plans and link them to community, mainstream and other government services.
• Focus on building participants' skills, connecting them to relevant providers, and increasing capacity for independence.
• Work with families to ensure a mix of supports and active community inclusion.
