Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer as part of a 24‑month immersion into our platform, automation, and cybersecurity across network, endpoint, and cloud. You will rotate with sales engineering teams to support customers during the pre‑sales process and complete the Academy’s hands‑on labs, group and individual projects, and exams.

Qualifications

• 4-year undergraduate degree, preferably in a business or technical field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity role.
• Ability to present complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective time-management and study habits.
• Awareness and desire to learn modern cybersecurity, automation, cloud, endpoint and network technologies.

Responsibilities

• Learn the technical aspects and business value of Palo Alto Networks products.
• Develop the skills to propose cybersecurity solutions comprising Palo Alto Networks products.
• Establish yourself as a trusted team member to Technical Solutions leadership and colleagues while contributing to sales wins.
• Architect and propose solutions that address cybersecurity problems in each customer’s environment.
• Develop presentation skills and understanding of business and technical discovery methods.
• Ensure ongoing customer success, support, and adoption of cybersecurity solutions.
• Understand and differentiate against top competitors.
• Identify and document specific problems with prospective and current customers which can be solved through integrated solutions.
• Act as the customer advocate and follow up with the customer until issues are resolved.
• Continuously self-improve and learn to maintain technical leadership of applicable technologies (SASE, XDR, cloud, security, networking).
