Job summary

ATCO Gas Australia is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to monitor, analyse and respond to security events across IT and OT environments. You’ll support threat detection, incident response and vulnerability management while contributing to the maturity of our cyber security capability.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in security operations, strong knowledge of frameworks, and hands‑on experience with security tools.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' cybersecurity experience, including Security Operations Centre (SOC), Incident Response or similar.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and practices, including AESCSF, NIST CSF, Essential Eight, ASD ACSC guidance and ITIL.
• Hands-on experience in security incident detection, investigation and response, vulnerability management, and risk assessment activities.
• Experience administering security technologies such as Endpoint Protection, IAM, PAM, IGA and Vulnerability Management platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills, with exposure to audits, compliance activities and IT/OT, critical infrastructure, utility or energy environments highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and respond to security events and incidents across the organisation.
• Collaborate with IT, OT and business teams to strengthen security posture.
• Conduct threat hunting and leverage threat intelligence to identify and mitigate risks.
• Support vulnerability management, remediation activities and incident root cause analysis.
• Maintain accurate incident documentation and contribute to post-incident reviews, audits and compliance activities.
