We're looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex security challenges. This is an opportunity to work across both IT and Operational Technology environments, supporting the detection, investigation and response to cyber threats while contributing to the ongoing maturity of our cyber security capability.

This role will be part of an on-call roster.

What you'll do

Key responsibilities include:
  • Monitoring, investigating and responding to cybersecurity alerts, threats and incidents across ATCO's technology environment.
  • Conducting threat hunting and leveraging threat intelligence to identify and mitigate emerging cyber risks.
  • Supporting vulnerability management, remediation activities and incident root cause analysis.
  • Maintaining accurate incident documentation and contributing to post-incident reviews, audits and compliance activities.
  • Collaborating with IT, OT, Risk and business teams to strengthen security awareness, processes, controls and monitoring capabilities.
What you'll bring

We're seeking a cybersecurity professional who combines strong technical capability with a proactive and collaborative approach.

You'll ideally have:
  • Degree qualified in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years' cybersecurity experience, including Security Operations Centre (SOC), Incident Response or similar operational security roles.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and practices, including AESCSF, NIST CSF, Essential Eight, ASD ACSC guidance and ITIL.
  • Hands-on experience in security incident detection, investigation and response, vulnerability management, and risk assessment activities.
  • Experience administering security technologies such as Endpoint Protection, IAM, PAM, IGA and Vulnerability Management platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills, with exposure to audits, compliance activities and IT/OT, critical infrastructure, utility or energy environments highly regarded.
What success looks like

In this role, success means:

  • Rapid detection, investigation and response to cybersecurity incidents and emerging threats.
  • Proactive monitoring, threat intelligence utilisation and identification of vulnerabilities across the technology environment.
  • High-quality incident documentation, reporting and support for compliance and assurance activities.
  • Strong collaboration across technology and business teams, contributing to the ongoing maturity of ATCO's cybersecurity capability and security culture.
Why ATCO?
