Job summary

The Office of Sport is seeking a Cyber Security Systems Engineer to protect NSW government technology by administering and improving cyber security platforms and controls. You will operate within the Information Management & Technology team to support security operations, manage risks, and ensure alignment with government requirements.

You will work on vulnerability remediation, patch management and integrations while collaborating with technical teams and vendors to strengthen cyber resilience

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Cyber Security, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Experience administering and supporting enterprise cyber security technologies including monitoring, endpoint protection, IAM, vulnerability management and cloud security controls.
• Experience integrating cyber security platforms within complex ICT environments.
• Knowledge of cyber security principles, risk mitigation practices and security operations.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and continuously improve cyber security technologies including endpoint protection, security monitoring, IAM and vulnerability management.
• Support cyber security operations by monitoring security events and assisting with incident investigation and response.
• Drive security uplift initiatives through remediation, patch management, system integrations and best practices across the technology environment.
