Job summary

AC3 is seeking a Cyber Security Operations Analyst in Sydney to join the CSOC frontline. You’ll monitor, detect, respond to, and help remediate security threats across a multi-cloud ICT environment for enterprise and government customers.

You’ll work with a range of technologies including networking gear, servers, databases, applications and endpoints, contributing to vulnerability management and incident reporting in a supportive, flexible culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security operations and incident response.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, security monitoring, and threat detection.
• Comfort with networking equipment, servers, databases, applications and endpoints.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day CSOC operations and incident handling.
• Perform vulnerability scanning, mitigation, and security monitoring.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and generate reports.
• Collaborate with Cloud Operations and Cyber Security Practice teams.

As a Cyber Security Operations Analyst, you will beat the frontline of the Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC). You’ve defended, you've attacked, and you understand how to detect, respond and remediate existing and emerging security threats. You have a good grasp of technology and the components that underpin a modern ICT environment. You’re comfortable working with a wide range of technologies including networking equipment, servers, databases, applications and endpoints.

Role Context

As part of the Cyber Security Practice, this role works closely with the other teams within the Cyber Security Practice and Cloud Operations teams to provide an effective line of defence against existing and evolving threats.

This role is responsible for day to day operations within the CSOC. This spans the full range of vulnerability scanning and mitigation, security monitoring, incident investigation, response and reporting, and other security related functions.
