Job summary

Fujitsu is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Operations Analyst to support and strengthen cyber security operations within a secure Defence environment. You will protect, monitor, and improve resilience across IT, OT, and digital environments, collaborating with internal teams and external SOC providers.

The role requires current NV1 or higher AGSVA clearance and prior experience in security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management within regulated environments.

Qualifications

  • Active NV1 (or higher) AGSVA security clearance.
  • Experience in Cyber Security Operations or SOC.
  • Knowledge of threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and monitoring.
  • Experience securing OT environments.
  • Familiarity with ACSC ISM, Essential Eight, DISP, ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Experience working in Defence or highly regulated environments.

  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to cyber security events and alerts.
  • Support incident response activities, including analysis, containment and remediation.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
  • Conduct threat detection and security investigations across IT and OT environments.
  • Maintain and improve cyber security operational documentation and reporting.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of security controls and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external SOC providers to strengthen cyber resilience.
  • Support compliance with security frameworks and regulatory requirements (ISMs, DISP, EIS, ISO/IEC 27001).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of cyber security operations and organisational cyber maturity.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Operations Analyst with a current active NV1 (or higher) AGSVA Security Clearance to support and strengthen cyber security operations within a secure Defence environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for protecting, monitoring, and improving the resilience of IT, Operational Technology (OT), and digital environments. You will work closely with internal technology teams, managed SOC providers, and cyber security specialists to detect and respond to cyber threats, support incident response activities, and enhance security controls across enterprise and critical infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Support compliance with security frameworks and regulatory requirements, including the ACSC Information Security Manual (ISM), Essential Eight, DISP, ITAR/FMS/ECI, and ISO/IEC 27001 initiatives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of cyber security operations and organisational cyber maturity.
Requirements and Experience
  • Current Active NV1 (or higher) AGSVA Security Clearance.
  • Experience working within Cyber Security Operations, Security Operations Centre (SOC), or Incident Response environments.
  • Knowledge of cyber threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
  • Experience supporting security controls across enterprise IT environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience securing Operational Technology (OT) environments.
  • Familiarity with ACSC ISM, Essential Eight, DISP, and ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Experience working within Defence or other highly regulated environments.
