Job summary

Blacktown City Council seeks a Cyber Security Coordinator to lead the implementation of its Cyber Security Strategy, develop the Cyber Security Framework and collaborate with business units to reduce risk and strengthen controls. This role mixes strategic oversight with hands‑on security operations across firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus systems.

You will manage cyber incidents, coordinate response activities, conduct forensic analysis and report emerging threats to management.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of cyber security practices and risk management.
• Ability to assess vulnerabilities and mitigate threats.
• Experience communicating security concepts to non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities
