Job summary

RecruitShop is seeking a Cyber Security and Compliance Consultant to advise and implement frameworks across varied projects. You will engage with SMBs on security policies, Microsoft 365 governance (Purview/InTune/Entra ID), and a range of cyber tools, while also delivering workshops and client-ready policies.

The role focuses on hands-on consulting, policy writing, and client-facing delivery, with flexible work options and a Northern Beaches lifestyle in Sydney.

Qualifications

• Experience with Security Frameworks, SMB1001.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security policies.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and practises.
• Background in IT with Windows systems and generalist IT support.
• Proven client-facing consulting experience.
• Ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Consult on and implement Cyber Security Frameworks (SMB1001, Essential Eight, ISO 27001).
• Manage and report on security policies using Microsoft 365 tools (Purview, InTune, Entra ID).
• Utilise other Cyber tools such as Endpoint protection, SOC & SIEM, and user awareness training.
• Provide IT support and administration (Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Networking).
• Write and maintain security policies.
• Lead Cyber and Compliance workshops with clients.

About The Opportunity

As a Cyber Security and Compliance Consultant, you will play a crucial role in consulting and implementing Cyber Security Frameworks while engaging with clients across various projects and industries. Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Consulting on and implementing Cyber Security Frameworks, with an emphasis on SMB1001, Essential Eight, and ISO 27001
• Managing and reporting on security policies using Microsoft 365 tools, including Purview, InTune, and Entra ID
• Utilising other Cyber tools such as Endpoint protection, SOC & SIEM, and User awareness training

About You

The successful candidate will have
