Job summary

Recruit Shop Pty Ltd in Sydney’s Northern Beaches seeks a Cyber Security and Compliance Consultant to advise and implement security frameworks for diverse clients. You will implement SMB1001, Essential Eight, and ISO 27001, manage security policies with Purview, InTune and Entra ID, and lead workshops to uplift client security postures.

Ideal candidates have IT backgrounds with Windows expertise, strong consulting demeanor, and proven client-facing experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with Security Frameworks, particularly SMB1001.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and security-related policies.
• Familiarity with various cybersecurity tools and practises.
• IT background with focus on Windows systems and generalist IT support.
• Proven client-facing experience in a consulting role.
• Excellent initiative and ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Consulting on and implementing Cyber Security Frameworks across SMBs.
• Managing and reporting on security policies using Microsoft 365 tools (Purview, InTune, Entra ID).
• Utilising other cyber tools such as Endpoint protection, SOC & SIEM, and user training.
• Providing IT support and administration (Windows Server, AD, Exchange Online, networking).
• Writing and maintaining security policies.
• Leading cyber and compliance workshops with clients.

About The Opportunity

As a Cyber Security and Compliance Consultant, you will play a crucial role in consulting and implementing Cyber Security Frameworks while engaging with clients across various projects and industries. Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Consulting on and implementing Cyber Security Frameworks, with an emphasis on SMB1001, Essential Eight, and ISO 27001


• Managing and reporting on security policies using Microsoft 365 tools, including Purview, InTune, and Entra ID


• Utilising other Cyber tools such as Endpoint protection, SOC & SIEM, and User awareness training


• Providing IT support and administration, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Online, and Networking


• Writing and maintaining security policies


• Leading Cyber and Compliance workshops with clients

About You

The successful candidate will have

• Experience with Security Frameworks, particularly SMB1001
