Job summary

Peppermint iT Pty Ltd is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist/Analyst to analyse security threats, investigate incidents and strengthen security controls across client Microsoft 365 and endpoint environments.

You will work with SentinelOne, NinjaOne and Microsoft 365, perform incident investigations, assess vulnerabilities, and implement remediation with Privileged Access, MFA and conditional access controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Cyber Security, IT, CS or closely related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant cyber security experience including security analysis and incident investigation.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and endpoint security environments; SentinelOne, NinjaOne, Microsoft Intune and RMM tooling is highly regarded.
• Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse security alerts from SentinelOne, NinjaOne and Microsoft 365 and investigate suspicious activity and potential compromise.
• Investigate security incidents to determine root cause, attack vector, extent of compromise and impact on client systems, data and user accounts; assess remediation options.
• Assess identity and access controls, including privileged access, MFA and conditional access; review incident response procedures and propose improvements.
• Prepare incident, vulnerability and security posture reports, communicating findings and recommendations to clients and management.
