Job summary

NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst in an ongoing, full-time role based in Sydney. The position offers hybrid work arrangements and a salary range of 116,981 to 129,492 AUD per annum, with superannuation and leave loading.

You will join the ICT team to strengthen cyber security, governance, and information security practices across NSW education systems. The role emphasizes security assurance, incident management, risk monitoring, and policy development,

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating security assurance, audit, or governance activities in a cyber security environment.
• Experience developing or implementing cyber security policies, standards, procedures or related governance documentation.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and remediate cyber security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate security assurance activities to strengthen controls and resilience.
• Monitor and research cyber security threats, vulnerabilities and emerging risks.
• Conduct security reviews/audits for policy and framework compliance.
• Investigate and report cyber security risks, incidents, and remediation actions.
