Job summary

Charter Hall Holdings Pty Limited in Sydney is seeking a Cyber Defence & Response Analyst to turn complex security signals into clear, actionable insights and help protect our people, systems, data and AI.

You will investigate threats, strengthen detection, and support rapid remediation across SIEM/EDR/XDR, SOAR and AI security tools, partnering with security partners and Technology Operations to defend the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT/cybersecurity/CS is desirable.
• 3–5 years in a SOC, incident response or in-house cybersecurity role.
• Experience correlating signals across SIEM and EDR/XDR; SOAR desirable.
• Knowledge of Microsoft security tooling (Purview, Defender, Entra ID).
• Familiar with AI risk, prompts, identity and access risks; AI security learning desirable.
• Proficient in KQL; basic PowerShell or Python for repeatable analysis.
• Understanding of NIST CSF 2.0 and risk-based vulnerability prioritisation.
• Experience with MSSP is preferred; relevant security certifications welcome.
