Job summary

CFC in Melbourne is seeking a detail-oriented Cyber Claims Specialist to bolster theClaims team. The role involves working with the London office, incident response partners, and cross-border cyber incidents to deliver high-quality responses to insureds.

You will collaborate with Underwriting, Finance, IT and Products teams, ensuring compliance with ASIC and Lloyd’s requirements while maintaining excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience handling claims.
• Good understanding of cyber and tech policy wordings.
• Experience with cross-border international cyber incidents or forensic investigations.
• Experience working with incident response vendors (legal and forensic).
• Strong computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel; ECF advantage.
• Excellent communication with clients and partners on cyber incidents.
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Handle a cross-section of claims including cyber, D&O, E&O from notification to settlement.
• Build relationships with policyholders, brokers, underwriters, and capacity providers.
• Coordinate with incident response vendors during cyber incidents.
• Ensure prompt reserving and pursue recoveries to reduce leakage.
• Manage deadlines in lawsuits, demand letters, and inquiries.
• Collaborate with service providers to ensure value and timeliness.
• Perform general claims administration and production of management information.
• Provide feedback to underwriters and product teams on claims trends.
• Escalate issues to Cyber Claims Manager or Claims Director when needed.
