Job summary

Join Metcash Food Service & Services at Pinkenba as a Customer Service Representative and become the first point of contact for our valued customers. In this fast-paced role, you'll manage customer orders, resolve enquiries, support sales initiatives and work closely with operations to ensure an exceptional customer experience from order through to delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ months of relevant customer service or tele-sales experience.
• Strong communication skills with customers, drivers and internal stakeholders.
• Attention to detail with ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative approach; know when to escalate issues and seek support.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365; PRONTO system experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders accurately and ensure progression to operations.
• Handle inbound/outbound customer calls in a busy environment.
• Respond to enquiries and resolve product, order and service issues.
• Manage EDI and other system-generated orders through to operations.
• Monitor shared inboxes and action orders promptly.
• Build relationships with customers, drivers, sales reps and internal teams.
• Identify upsell opportunities and support sales targets.
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable tasks when needed.
