Job summary

Two Providores is a wholesale food distributor connecting Australia's best artisans with chefs. We seek a customer-focused team member to be the first contact by phone and email, enter orders accurately, assist with online ordering and offer suitable stock alternatives.

You'll keep records up to date, collaborate across departments, support the sales team, and help new customers start ordering, with regular product training and a genuine love of food.

Qualifications

• Proven customer service experience, ideally in food, logistics or hospitality.
• Friendly, professional phone manner and clear written communication skills.
• Familiarity with systems such as Sage X3, X3CloudDocs and Pepper (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for customers by phone and email.
• Enter orders accurately and assist with online ordering.
• Offer stock alternatives and update back-orders.
• Keep records and order history up to date.
• Work across departments to find timely solutions.
• Partner with the sales team to meet and exceed customer expectations.

What you'll do

• Be the first point of contact for our customers by phone and email, answering questions on products, pricing, availability and delivery status
• Enter orders accurately and efficiently, and assist with online ordering
• Offer suitable stock alternatives and keep customers updated on back-orders
• Keep records and order history up to date
• Work across departments to find timely solutions
• Partner with the sales team to meet and exceed customer expectations
• Support new customers as they get started with ordering
• Take part in regular product training with our producers to build your product knowledge and stay across industry trends

You'll also have

• Proven customer service experience, ideally in food, logistics or hospitality
• A friendly, professional phone manner and clear written communication skills
• Confidence using Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
• Availability for a 7:00am start, Monday to Friday
• A genuine love of food
• Familiarity with systems such as Sage X3, X3CloudDocs and Pepper (highly regarded)
• Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP principles (an advantage)
