Job summary

Rexel Australia is seeking an experienced Customer Care Officer to join our National Customer Engagement Team, based in Moorabbin. You will support key national accounts, coordinate orders and quotations, and work closely with Rexel branches and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and accurate information.

You will manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, employing clear communication and a solution-focused approach to enhance the customer experience and drive account growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional day-to-day support to a portfolio of national customer accounts
• Coordinate customer orders, quotations, deliveries, product enquiries and account requirements accurately
• Liaise regularly with Rexel branches, National Key Account Managers, suppliers and internal teams
• Build strong working relationships with suppliers to obtain pricing, availability and lead times
• Follow up outstanding orders, backorders, delivery issues and customer queries through to resolution
• Support warm sales conversations and identify opportunities within existing accounts

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Customer Care Officer to join our National Customer Engagement Team, based in Moorabbin.

This is not a typical customer service position. You will support a portfolio of key national accounts and play an important coordination role between customers, suppliers, National Key Account Managers and Rexel branches across Australia.

To succeed, you will bring relevant experience from the electrical wholesale, trade supply or a similar distribution environment, along with confidence communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and keep orders moving.

About the role

As a key contact for national customers, you will provide responsive, solutions-focused support across orders, quotes, deliveries, product enquiries and account requirements.

You will need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, communicating clearly with a broad internal network and working closely with suppliers to secure the right information, products and outcomes for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional day-to-day support to a portfolio of national customer accounts
• Coordinate customer orders, quotations, deliveries, product enquiries and account requirements accurately and efficiently
• Liaise regularly with Rexel branches, National Key Account Managers, suppliers and other internal teams
• Build strong working relationships with suppliers to obtain pricing, product availability, lead times and technical or order-related information
• Follow up outstanding orders, backorders, delivery issues and customer queries through to resolution
• Support warm sales conversations, identify opportunities within existing accounts and help drive customer growth
• Maintain accurate customer, order and account records within internal systems
• Prepare reporting and customer information using Excel, PowerPoint and other business tools
• Use initiative to resolve issues, improve processes and deliver a positive customer experience

About you

You are a confident communicator who understands the pace and expectations of electrical wholesale or trade distribution. You can build rapport with a wide range of people, from branch teams and suppliers to account managers and national customers, and you know the importance of following through.

You will ideally bring:

• Previous experience in electrical wholesale, trade supplies, distribution or a comparable industry
• Demonstrated experience dealing directly with suppliers, including product, pricing, availability and delivery enquiries
• Experience in customer care, internal sales, account support, sales coordination or customer serviceExcellent communication and relationship-building skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to work effectively with stakeholders across a large branch and business network
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach to resolving customer and operational issues
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Experience using the PRONTO ERP system will be highly regarded
• A collaborative approach and genuine commitment to outstanding customer outcomes
