Job summary

Master Hire Pty Ltd is seeking a Customer Service Assistant at our North Toowoomba branch for a casual position. You will greet customers, advise on equipment, availability and pricing, and help maintain the showroom, yard and storage areas.

Responsibilities include inspecting, cleaning, servicing and preparing hire equipment to a high standard, and coordinating with operations and workshop to ensure timely readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience in hire, trade, construction, retail or similar customer-facing role.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Genuine interest in machinery; training provided.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications.
• LR licence and/or forklift licence are highly regarded.
• Available for rotating Saturday roster.

Job description

We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant in a casual position to join our growing team based at our North Toowoomba branch. Your responsibilities will also include but are not limited to:

Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting, assisting, and advising customers on equipment, availability, and pricing.

Maintain the presentation and smooth operation of the branch, including the showroom, yard, and storage areas.

Inspect, clean, service, and prepare hire equipment to a high standard.

Coordinate with operations and workshop teams to ensure timely equipment availability and readiness.

Manage equipment logistics, including safe loading/unloading, deliveries and pickups, and providing safe-use demonstrations to customers.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in the hire, trade, construction industry, retail or a similar customer facing type role.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Genuine interest in machinery and equipment (training will be provided).
• Positive attitude and a collaborative team player.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications.
• An LR licence (or higher) and/or a forklift licence will be highly regarded.
• Available to participate in a rotating Saturday roster.
