Job description

WHY TEAM SIMONDS?

The Simonds story all started in 1949 with a passionate family man, Gary Simonds. He envisioned a builder that Australians could rely on to guide them through the process of crafting their perfect home. This vision remains at the heart of Simonds today with our commitment to making the Great Australian Dream a reality by placing home ownership within Australia’s reach.

Becoming part of Team Simonds means becoming part of the family. Our people are the heart of what we do. Our homes are built for the community, by the community, with a local network of employees, trades and suppliers all working towards this vision. It is this passion, dedication, and excellence that you will find on every Simonds job site, office, and display centre across the country. Today, we stand proudly as an ASX listed & leading national builder servicing customers across Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.

Simonds has helped shape Australia. Few can say that. Whether we’re looking back at the homes of yesteryear, what we’re building now, or everything that’s still to come. We’ve not only shaped what Australia looks like, but more importantly, how Australia homes.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Customer Relationship Coordinator plays a pivotal role in coordinating KDRB, dual-occupancy, and stand-alone project tasks. This position ensures that contract signings, permits, and site starts are completed within required timeframes while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include guiding clients through their demolition process, explaining non compliance, administering domestic building contracts in accordance with company requirements and the Domestic Building Contracts Act, setting up projects in Framework and maintaining accurate baseline, forecast, and actual task dates, communicating project progress to stakeholders and clients, and providing essential administrative support to the construction team.

Some key tasks are:

  • Liaise internally and with customers on their builds.

  • Project Manage the pre-site process including Town Planning to ensure deadlines are met and communicated to all parties.

  • Escalate potential issues with your recommendations for resolution.

  • Prepare and present HIA contracts.

  • Complete the relevant permit applications.

WHO YOU ARE

You will be qualified in a building field and have solid experience in the domestic or medium density building industry with exposure to administration or construction of commercial housing projects and knockdown rebuilds.

Alongside your knowledge of the Town planning process, land/building subdivision, knowledge of Building Regulations, domestic building contracts (AS/ HIA/ MBA and associated terminology), you'll have the ability to work unsupervised, excellent communication skills, and the ability to problem solve, resolve conflicts, organise and set priorities.

Experience in knockdown rebuild is preferred but not a requirement if you are looking to expand your knowledge of the industry.

WHY JOIN US?

Aside from a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia's ASX listed leading residential builders, Simonds can offer you:

  • Great benefits across a wide range of products and services including a generous discount on our award-winning homes as well as all the great things that go in them.
