Job summary

Aurizon Bulk West is seeking a customer-focused logistics professional to coordinate customer service across the business unit. You will manage daily ordering, scheduling, and issue resolution to optimise asset utilisation and service performance.

In this role you will strengthen relationships, liaise with supply-chain providers, and support continuous improvement across forecasting, planning, and execution activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer enquiries: Respond to orders, variations, account queries and network disruptions.
  • Strengthen customer relationships: Maintain regular communication and provide a consistent point of contact.
  • Optimise fleet performance: Plan and schedule services to improve asset utilisation and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate the logistics network: Liaise with providers and take corrective action when requirements affect performance.
  • Manage service disruptions: Inform customers of forecast disruptions and drive recovery plans.
  • Align internal services: Schedule additional services and set loading priorities during emergencies.
  • Partner with LiveRun: Support handovers into/out of 0–48-hour planning window and continuity in the customer account experience.
  • Support portfolio growth: Assist Customer Portfolio Managers with incremental-revenue logistics planning.

Our Aurizon Bulk West division is a growing logistics business that includes rail operations, ports and terminals, containerised freight, and trucking.

As the primary operational and logistics contact for customers, you will coordinate customer service across the business unit. You will provide daily and weekly ordering and scheduling support, resolve service issues, and help identify and implement operational improvements.

About the role
  • Manage customer enquiries: Respond to orders, variations, account queries and network disruptions, keeping customers informed throughout.
  • Strengthen customer relationships: Maintain regular formal and informal communication, identify opportunities to improve service performance, and provide a consistent point of contact.
  • Optimise fleet performance: Plan and schedule services effectively to improve asset utilisation and minimise operating costs.
  • Coordinate the logistics network: Liaise with providers across the supply chain and take corrective action when customer or operational requirements affect business viability or performance.
