Mr Central Heating is seeking a commercially minded Customer Development Manager to join the Croydon branch, one of the busiest locations. You will own and grow a customer base, develop existing accounts, win back lapsed customers and proactively seek new business.

A background in sales, telesales, or customer development with strong relationship-building skills is ideal, even if plumbing/heating experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in sales or telesales.
• Experience in account management or customer development.
• Experience using CRM to manage customer data and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop existing customer accounts.
• Follow up quotations quickly and consistently.
• Reconnect with lapsed customers and win back business.
• Make proactive warm and cold calls to generate opportunities.
• Identify and open new trade accounts.
• Understand customers’ buying needs and what matters to them.
• Spot opportunities to increase sales and margins.
• Keep accurate records of calls, quotes and opportunities in the CRM.
• Collaborate with branch team to hit sales and gross profit targets.
• Provide knowledgeable, responsive customer service.
