nbn is seeking a Customer Field Technician in Bathurst to work independently on a variety of tasks across nbn technologies. You will install cabling, set up customer equipment, identify faults, and support customers in homes or businesses.

Full training and tools are provided. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a field environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in telecommunications isn’t needed — we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
• What matters most is that you enjoy hands-on work, like solving problems, and feel comfortable speaking with customers.
• You’ll do well in this role if you enjoy working independently, managing your workload, and taking pride in delivering quality work.

Responsibilities

• Install copper or fibre cabling and set up customer equipment.
• Identify and fix faults and provide in-home or on-site support.
• Perform installations, repairs, and maintenance across different nbn technologies.
• Assist customers and keep them informed throughout the process.
• Work independently and manage your workload with a strong safety focus.
