Job summary

Dubbo Regional Council is seeking a Part Time Customer Experience Officer (Parental Leave Cover) in Dubbo, NSW. The role focuses on frontline customer support, handling inquiries, and delivering solutions with empathy across multiple channels.

The position offers a 25-hour week (Mon-Fri, 9:00am–2:00pm) with potential to contribute to improving the customer experience. Parental leave cover for 12 months, with opportunities to grow within the Customer Experience & Engagement Branch.

Qualifications

In this front-line role, you’ll connect with customers, understand what matters to them, and deliver solutions with empathy and care. Every day is unique, with a diverse range of enquiries to facilitate, from answering customer queries to registering requests and applications and much more in-between. Your contributions will help us elevate the customer experience and drive positive outcomes for Dubbo Regional Council and the community we serve.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Being the vital link between our organisation and our valued customers, ensuring effective communication and support.
• Executing customer service tasks in alignment with established procedures to optimise the operation of the Customer Experience Centre
• Staying current with Council's services, products, and activities, to provide accurate and valuable information to customers
• Demonstrating an understanding and grasp if Council's policies, procedures, and codes to maintain compliance and uphold high standards
• Proactively identifying and addressing customer dissatisfaction, promptly escalating issues using established customer experience protocols
• Cultivating strong customer relationships through engaging with customers through multiple communication channels.

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• A Certificate III or higher in Customer Engagement, Business
• Relevant experience in customer service delivery in a high-volume environment
• Well-developed communication skills
• Well-developed computer literacy and ability to complete accurate data entry
• High level organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks with competing deadlines
• High level flexibility, adaptability, and versatility t handle multiple diverse tasks across Omni-Channels

We would also love you to have:

• Ability to quickly adapt to changes in process, practice and technology
• Well-developed conflict resolution skills
• Willingness to obtain a Justice of the Peace accreditation

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $70,498 to $81,930 plus superannuation (Pro Rata)
