Job summary

Commonwealth Bank in Penrith area is seeking a Customer Banking Specialist Relief for a part‑time 20‑hour roster. Based at Springwood/ Penrith area, you will cover branch shifts across Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 12pm–4pm and support nearby branches.

You will engage customers on home loans, business banking and financial advice, handle account enquiries, process credit applications and demonstrate in‑branch digital options, while upholding our customer‑centred, compliant service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer service in financial services or retail.
• Strong communication and ability to explain financial terms clearly.
• Ability to work in a busy retail banking environment while focusing on customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Have in-depth conversations with customers about their banking needs including Home Loans, Business Banking & Financial Advice.
• Support customers with enquiries, maintenance on accounts and process applications for credit products.
• Provide options for the customer through education and demonstration of in‑branch technology and digital banking options.
• Problem solve and provide effective solutions while upholding processes and risk controls.

Part Time Roster (20 hours per week):

Monday:12.00pm - 4.00pm

Tuesday: 12.00pm - 4.00pm

Thursday:12.00pm - 4.00pm

Friday:12.00pm - 4.00pm

We an exciting opportunity to join our relief team and support surrounding Branches in our Penrith Area including Springwood, Katoomba and Westfield Penrith.

Travel will be required for this role.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have

Proven experience delivering exceptional Customer Service ideally in Financial Services, Retail or Hospitality

Excellent communication skills & the ability to articulate financial terms in a clear way

The ability to ask the right questions, find solutions, act with integrity and place the customer at the centre of everything you do

Ability to work in a busy, commercial and driven retail environment whilst seeing the big picture for customers and providing them with holistic solutions
