Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education is seeking a Curriculum Leader (Learning and Teaching) for St Columban's College, Caboolture. You will lead whole-school curriculum development, implement contemporary teaching practices, and support teacher growth through professional learning and coaching.

This is a full-time fixed-term appointment starting January 2027, with Middle Leader allowances and a salary range of $86,601–$124,725 plus 12.75% super.

Qualifications

• Developed work programs in alignment with national, state, and local requirements.
• Driving the assessment and moderation process when developing new programs.
• Leading and innovating within a specified curriculum area.
• Stakeholder engagement fostering collaboration and transparency.
• Having responsibility for a financial budget.

Responsibilities

• Leading the overall curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation across the school under the direction of Senior Leadership.
• Applying contemporary learning and teaching research to classroom practice through whole-school professional development and targeted support for teacher improvement.
• Collaborating with Curriculum Leaders, teaching staff, and Senior Leadership to review curriculum frameworks and plan future directions.
• Leading teacher performance through professional dialogue, reflective practice, and formal/informal goal setting and appraisal.
• Staying current with curriculum and pedagogy developments and guiding whole-school professional learning accordingly.
• Providing induction and mentoring for beginning teachers in collaboration with Senior Leadership and Curriculum Leaders.
• Supervising student learning across the school using internal and external data, and implementing strategic interventions.
• Contributing to school leadership through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings.
• Managing financial and material resources within the curriculum area, including budget planning and expenditure.
