Job summary

Booroongen Djugun Limited is seeking a Recreation Activities role to enhance cultural, psychological, spiritual, social and emotional wellbeing of residents at the aged care facility. You will design and run monthly activities, tailor plans with Case Coordinators, and coordinate with families and care staff to support participation and wellbeing.

Applicants should have a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care (desirable) and strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with a focus on privacy,

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or equivalent (desirable).
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective teamwork and time management abilities.
• Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate activities for older people.

Responsibilities

• Determine residents’ psychological, spiritual, social, and emotional needs for leisure activities.
• Develop and display a monthly Activities Program reflecting residents’ abilities.
• Create individualised activity plans with Case Coordinators.
• Facilitate residents’ involvement in the wider community.
• Maintain documentation to evaluate participation and needs.
• Collaborate with the health care team to support leisure activities.
