Job summary

Ngullingah Jugun Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (NJAC) is seeking a Cultural Heritage Coordinator to lead cultural heritage activities across Western Bundjalung Country, reporting to the CEO in Mallanganee. You will work with Traditional Owners, Elders and community groups to protect culture, build relationships, and strengthen governance and reporting across the region.

This 12-month maximum term contract offers an opportunity to shape NJAC's cultural heritage work and contribute to long-term

Qualifications

• Experience in cultural heritage, land management or a related field.
• Strong listening and collaborative approach that balances Country, culture and community.
• Demonstrated ability to work with Traditional Owners, Elders and Aboriginal communities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, reporting and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Aboriginal cultural heritage assessments.
• Support engagement with Traditional Owners, Elders and family groups.
• Coordinate Cultural Heritage Site Officers and on-Country activities.
• Build respectful relationships with councils, government agencies, developers and stakeholders.
• Prepare reports and recommendations to support cultural heritage outcomes.
• Develop systems, processes and reporting frameworks to strengthen work.
