Lake Macquarie City Council is looking for a Cultural Experiences Officer to help bring our libraries, galleries and museums to life and create welcoming, engaging experiences for our community.
As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will connect people with our library and cultural services, from helping visitors discover collections and resources to supporting programs, events and contemporary cultural experiences. You’ll warmly welcome our community, respond to enquiries, maintain welcoming and well-presented spaces, and ensure visitors have a positive experience every time they walk through our doors.
This is a diverse and people-focused role where no two days are the same. You’ll use technology including library management and point-of-sale systems, assist customers to navigate our collections, services and facilities, and contribute to programs that encourage people to learn, connect, create and participate.
Working across our library, gallery and museum services, you will play an important role in connecting our community with culture, knowledge and each other. We’re looking for someone who is curious, adaptable and passionate about people, who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys creating meaningful experiences for the community.

You will be comfortable juggling a range of tasks, responding to different customer needs and working collaboratively across our library and cultural facilities. Most importantly, you’ll play a key role in connecting our community with library services, cultural experiences and programs that inspire, enrich and bring people together.
