Job summary

Vonex Limited is seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer to lead the technology strategy and execution for a fast-growing Australian telecommunications group. You will oversee network and platform architecture, software engineering, IT infrastructure and cyber security to support scalable growth.

You'll collaborate with the executive team to modernise technology environments, deliver high-performing engineering teams and drive innovation across voice, data and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technology functions at an executive or senior leadership level in telecom or related tech.
• Deep knowledge of voice and data networks, including VoIP/SIP and UCaaS.
• Experience developing technology strategies aligned with business growth and commercial objectives.
• Strong background in cloud/hybrid infrastructure and highly available platforms.
• Understanding of cyber security frameworks and regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver a multi-year technology strategy and roadmap aligned with commercial objectives.
• Oversee architecture, performance and modernization of voice, data, cloud platforms and networks.
• Lead software engineering, IT infrastructure and cyber security across the group.
• Drive automation, AI and data initiatives to improve customer experience and efficiency.
• Partner with the CEO and executive team to allocate budgets and guide major investment decisions.
