Job summary

Ramsay Surgical Centre Miranda is seeking a CSSD Technician to join our Sterilisation Team. You will be responsible for reprocessing of reusable medical devices, including decontamination, processing, endoscope reprocessing, assembly, inspection and sterilisation for varying clinical departments.

Working within a dedicated team, you will help maintain consistent workflows between Operating Theatre areas, uphold AS 5369:2023 standards, and support a high standard of service for peri-operative

• CSSD experience in a hospital setting.
• Customer service oriented in internal and external settings.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Job description

We are seeking CSSD Technician to join our Sterilisation Team at Ramsay Surgical Centre Miranda. In this role you will be responsible for reprocessing of reusable medical devices, including decontamination, processing, endoscope reprocessing,assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilisation of reusable medical devicesand medical equipment for varying clinical departments. This role is a critical part of the sterilising process which will see you working within your team to meet the needs of the peri-op team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Working within a team to process instruments, trays, and equipment in a timely manner.
• You will be within various allocated areas in the department.
• You will ensure consistency and continuous workflow between the various Operating Theatre areas and CSSD whilst practising exceptional customer service and maintaining the high operational standards of the sterilisation department.

Skills and Experience

• Previous CSSD experience.
• Your positive outlook will enable you to collaborate effectively with our team and independently as required.
• You will be customer service oriented in both internal and external settings.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
• Exceptional organisational skills.
• Strong knowledge of the principles behind AS 5369:2023.
