Job summary

Knox Private Hospital is seeking a motivated CSSD Technician to join our Central Sterilising Services Department on a casual basis. You will decontaminate, sterilise and assemble reusable medical devices, and prepare instrument trays for operating theatres, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.

Reporting to the CSSD Manager, you will maintain documentation and work with theatre and clinical teams to support safe patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in CSSD operations within a hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of sterilisation processes and infection control principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble and sterilise reusable medical devices.
• Prepare instrument trays and equipment for theatres and clinical areas.
• Ensure compliance with sterlisation standards and infection prevention guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of materials.

Knox Private Hospital is seeking motivated and detail-oriented CSSD Technicians to join our Central Sterilising Services Department on a casual basis.

As a valued member of our CSSD team, you will play a critical role in supporting safe patient care by ensuring surgical instruments and medical equipment are cleaned, sterilised, assembled and supplied to the highest standards.

About the Role

Reporting to the CSSD Manager, your responsibilities will include:

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous CSSD experience within a hospital setting
• Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (or working towards) desirable
• Sound knowledge of sterilisation processes and infection control principles
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts as required
• A commitment to quality, safety and excellent customer service
