Job summary

Somerset Private Hospital, part of the Cura Day Hospitals Group, is seeking a CSSD Technician to join on a full-time, part-time or casual basis.

You will work in a sterilisation environment, handle reprocessing of instruments and endoscopes, and contribute to patient safety and efficient theatre services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a sterilisation environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of disinfection and sterilisation standards.
• Data entry accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Sterilise and reprocess instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate sterilisation records and documentation.
• Support infection control practices and theatre instrument management.

The hospital which provides overnight facilities, is furnished with the latest technology and equipment to provide specialty services to both adult and paediatric patients. Specialties will include Plastics & Reconstructive surgery, Orthopaedics, Endoscopy, Ophthalmology, ENT and Oral & Maxillofacial.

CSSD Technician to join us on a full-time, part-time or casual basis.

Requirements / Responsibilities

To be successful in your application for this position, you will have:

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a sterilisation environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Skilled in effective methods of communication and interpersonal relationships.
• A comprehensive knowledge of the principles of disinfection and sterilisation standards.
• Demonstrate strong attention to details and accurate data entry.
• Able to independently make decisions and act when appropriate.
• Current Certificate III in Sterilization or equivalent qualification or willing to obtain.
• Experience in reprocessing endoscopes.
• Current right to work in Australia.
